Two people have been confirmed dead in the latest attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists suicide bombers in parts of Maiduguri, Borno State capital, North East of Nigeria.
The Head of Media and Public Relations, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Sani Datti, in a statement on Tuesday, said the suicide bombers were successfully prevented from hitting their targets.
Datti said that the incident, which occurred at round 5: 20 Tuesday morning affected only the suicide bomber and a member of the vigilante referred to as the Civilian JTF.
“Civilian JTF and a male suicide bomber lost lives in a foiled suicide bomb attack which targeting at a Mosque during morning prayer in Dalori quarters, Maiduguri Borno state,” he said.
He also sais that “their bodies have been evacuated to Specialists Hospital Maiduguri”.
