The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Task Force Division, Major General Ali Nani, has disclosed that the willingness of the local residents to volunteer information about terrorist movements and activities is vital to the recent counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency success against Boko Haram terrorists in parts of the North East Nigeria.
Nani stated this member representing Monguno, Marte and Ngazai Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Tahir Monguno, paid a courtesy visit to the Headquarters of 8 Task Force Division, in Monguno, Borno State.

Speaking further, Nani thanked the lawmaker for visiting the division. He also assured him of the preparedness of the division to completely rid its Area of Responsibility of Boko Haram’s influence.

“We are eternally grateful for the sacrifice that you people have made in liberating our communities from Boko Haram terrorists. It is because of your sacrifice, dedication and zeal that we feel safe to come here today”.
