The Nigerian Army has denied reports of a suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacks in Pulka, Borno State of North East Nigeria.
According to reports attribute to an unidentified Bulama as source, the terrorists allegedly abducted 22 women during the attack.
This was however, debunked by the Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brig-Gen. Sani Usman, who in a statement on Saturday, said “the report is completely false and should be ignored”.
For the avoidance of doubt, Usman said, Pulka and its environs is heavily fortified and there has not been any security breach in the area.
He urged “media houses… to always cross check their facts before publishing or broadcasting”.
