The Nigerian Army in its efforts to enhance civil-military relations has rendered community services to parts of Ikorodu town in Lagos State, South West Nigeria.

The Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brig-Gen. Sani Usman, on Saturday said that the troops of 174 Battalion, 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, located at Odogunyan, performed an extra-ordinary community relations activity along Ikorodu-Sagamu road which lasted from 7.30am-3.10pm.

Usman said the service is “part of their contribution to host community and to further enhance cordial civil-military relations”.

He said the troops led by the unit’s Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Benedict Chinwuba Ezeh, cleared the blocked drainage system along Ikorodu-Sagamu road and filled up the potholes at Odogunyan Bus Stop and the Market area.
