2017 NADC: Army seeks public support to defeat Boko Haram, security threats

The Nigerian Army has called for public buy-in and support  to effectively defeat and degrade the Boko Haram terrorists and other security threats in the country.

The Chief of Civil-Military Affairs (Army), Maj-Gen. Nuhu Angbazo, made this call on Friday on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff Lt-Gen. Tukur  Buratai towards the Nigerian Army Day Celebrations (NADC)  2017.

He said that this year’s NADC coming up next week is tagged: “Celebrating Success, Celebrating Victory, Celebrating Hope and Unity”.

“The 6th July 2017 marks an important day to usher in new hope, courage, commitment, determination, and stabilization efforts of the Nigerian Army to degrade Boko Haram Terrorist and containing all forms of insecurity in our beloved nation,” he said.

The Chief of Civil-military relations furhter called support to the Nigerian Army, while listing activities lineup for the celebration including: Chief of Army Staff Press Briefing,  Jummat Service, and Sanitation Exercise.

Other events are: Interdenominational Church Service, Photo/ Arts Exhibition, Seminar, and the COAS Commendation Award.

Angbazo stressed: “The Nigerian Army is the Pride of the nation, and pledges to continue to discharge its constitutional roles in a professionally responsive manner”.
