Buratai lauds Gov Shetima for renovating Bama Army Barracks

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen. Tukur   Buratai has on behalf of the Officers and Soldiers of the Nigerian Army commended the  Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima for embarking on the renovation of Nigerian Army Barracks in Bama, Borno State that commenced since Tuesday. 

Buratai in a statement on Wednesday by the Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brig-Gen. Sani Usman, noted with great appreciation Shettima’s consistent support to the Nigerian  Army overtime.

He particularly wish to thank Governor Shettima for his unrelenting support to Operation Lafiya Dole, which  assisted in the defeat of the Boko Haram terrorists and the kind gesture of the Borno State Government in providing  land for the  newly established Nigerian Army  University in the State.           

Buratai regards  the commencement of  renovation works in Bama Barracks as timely as it would provide a more conducive environment for the troops to settle and discharge their duties of providing security for the entire Bama community and environs.
