The Federal Government has appointed Mr. Emeka Obiora Onuegbu as the new Director General of the National Commission for Museum and Monuments (NCMM).
The Acting Director-General, Mr. Dapo Sijuade in a statement on Monday said the has been approved by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
According to Sijuade, the appointment follows the retirement of the former Director General, Mallam Yusuf Abdullah Usman after a successful completion of tenure.
Onuegbu, a 1993 Political Science graduate of the University of Maiduguri also had a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995.
He was one time a Special Adviser to the Special Assistant to the President on Relations with The Civil Society.
At the time of his appointment, he was the Director of Administration and Supplies at the Commission.
