Nigeria, Niger sign agreement to end Boko haram terrorism

Nigeria and the republic of Niger has signed an agreement on how to curtail boko haram terrorism and cross border crimes.

The minister of Defence Mansur Muhammad, signed the agreement during an official visit to Niger.

The Public Relations officer to the Hon Minister of Defence, Col. Tukur Gusau disclosed this in a Statement on Monday.

Muhammad informed that the essence of his visit was to strenthen the existing cooperation between the two countries especially in the fight against insurgency.

Niger president Muhammadu Issoufou, while receiving the minister at the Presidential Palace Niamey, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for “providing good leadership in the sub-continent which lead to the successes recorded in the fight against insurgency.”

He also hailed the mutual cooperation between Nigeria and Niger.
