There was panic in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja on Monday over low flying military aircraft.

The acrobatic display, twists and turns got many FCT residents in panic mode and confused with some even suggesting that there was a plane crash.

But not long afterwards, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced that it has commenced rehearsals for aerial display as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 58th Anniversary Celebration.

Air commodore Ibukunle Daramola, NAF Director of public relations and information (DOPRI) in a Statement on Monday, informed that there will be movement of NAF aircraft within the Federal Capital Territory from till 2 October 2018.

He stated: “Fighter aircraft would be flying at low level during the rehearsals.

“The NAF therefore wishes to advise members of the public not to panic but to go about their normal businesses.”
