Boko haram: Nigerian Army denies attack on troops in Gashigar

The Nigerian army has dismissed report by a foreign media, ISWAP which stated that troops suffered attack by boko haram in Gashigar as false publication aimed at misleading the public and discrediting the millitary.

ISWAP an online foreign media had reported on the 26th of august that Boko Haram successfully attacked troops at Garshigar

The Director Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen.Texas Chukwu who disclosed this in a statement on monday stated that contrary t the report, Boko haram suffered human and material casualty in its failed attack on the troops in Gashigar.

Chukwu warned that the Nigerian Army will henceforth take legal action on any false publication capable of discrediting its effort, whole urging ISWAP to verify facts before publication.

He stated “ISAWP report is not only tarnishing but also aimed at deceiving innocent Nigerians and discredit the military operations against the Boko Haram Terrorists.

“Consequently the general public is requested to disregard the report circulated by ISWAP bloggers, handlers and influencers on various social media platform.

“To this end ISWAP report will not distract the Nigerian Army in its effort to decimate the terrorists as our troops are highly determined to flush them out of our territory.

“The Nigerian Army therefore calls on ISWAP and its associate to always verify facts before making any publication.
