The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai has approved the immediate deployment of troops of 123 Special Forces Battalion to consolidate Operation Lafiya Dole against Boko Haram terrorists in parts of the North East Nigeria.
This is in line with Buratai’s determined to crush resurgence of the terrorists that seems to have increased their attacks for some days now.

According to the HQ Nigerian Army Facebook account: “The battle ready troops are equipped with special military and logistics stores”.
The latest deployment is also a follow up the reshuffling, posting and redeployment of over 103 commanders and officers including the appointment of a new Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole–the fifth of such changes within two years.
