The plan by the opposition coalition CUPP to defeat President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2019 Polls received a major boost today when nine more political Parties joined the already existing 44 parties in the coalition.

The political parties on Monday signed a path to join over 40 political parties under the platform of the Coalition United Political Parties (CUPP) at Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre, Abuja.

With the historic signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the nine new parties and the CUPP, they opposition parties are expanding their base towards the 2019 elections.

The new parties which where received into the coalition by the chairman of the CUPP Steering Committee, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, pledged their support and commitment to ensuring that the opposition coalition consensus candidate Atiku Abubakar who is the candidate of the PDP defeats President Buhari at the next year Presidential Polls.

The parties that signed the Coalition deal today are: United Patriot(UP), Save Nigeria Congress(SNC), Peoples Coalition Party (PCP), Reform and Advancement Party(RAP), Alliance of Social  Democrats (ASD), We The People of Nigeria (WTPN), Change Party (CP), New Generation Party(NGP), Alliance National Party (ANP).

Seaking at the reception of the political parties,  Oyinlola who is a former governor of Ogun state announced that Six more political parties have also tendered applications to join the grand coalition.

He stated that the coalition will work together to defeat the Buhari led administration in the 2019 general elections and rescue Nigeria from “misrule, insecurity and misery”

He further condemned APC administration saying it’s not fit too run a government. According to him the APC government has failed to deliver on its promises and has failed Nigerians

Oyinlola therefore urged president Buhari to throw in the towel and resign saying his defeat will be inevitable

He said: “If the people in government are honourable people, they will read the handwriting in the wall and throw in the towel before the elections, it is however not too late for them to surrender because, the defeat that waits them in the coming elections will be comprehensive, total and decisive.

“The Nigerian people are suffering, their suffering stems  from the arrogant ineptitude of APC government, the APC and it’s government are out of  ideas, but they cant admit their lack of knowledge and seek help instead, they have spent almost four years blaming every one else apart from themselves for their calamitous failure.”

“They started by denouncing their 2015 promises , they then proceeded to a systematic and mindless destruction of every facet of our national life, it’s never been this bad for the ordinary nigerian, so bad that poverty capital of the world us seen clearly daily in the mystery in which the masses if our people leave.

“UNICEF have just announced that we have the Highest number of out of school children in the whole world, the figure was put at 13. 5 million. We  should expect that given the levity in which the clueless APC government has taken education since it came to power. This government allocated a miserable 7 per cent of the 2108 budget to education.

“As bad as thus situation is now, we should know that it would get worse unless we ramp up this joint operation to defeat APC in next year election ” explained.
