Police invade Sen. Dino Melaye’s Abuja home

The men of  Nigerian Police Force (NPF) have invaded the Maitama, Abuja residence of a lawmaker representing Kogi West, Sen. Dino Melaye.

Melaye in a series of tweets around 1.3pm on Friday afternoon, alerted the public that some policemen had stormed his home at 11 Sangha street, off Mississippi, Maitama, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The controversial lawmaker had earlier accused the NPF of plans to inject him with a lethal injection, an allegation the Police have denied.

Melaye later twitted that the security operatives have forcefully gained entrance to his house.

“Sen. Dino Melaye’s Residence in Maitama surrounded by security operatives seeking to arrest him.

“They have forcefully entered my compound,”- Sen. Dino Melaye tweeted.

The Police is yet to issue a statement on the development while the Sangha street where his house is located has been cordoned off by security operatives.

It could not be ascertained if the embattled Senator has been arrested by the Police as at the time of reporting.
