The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has commended the Director-General of the the Department of State Security Services (DSS) for issuing a disclaimer on his predecessor, lawal Daura who allegedly extorted and impersonated activities in the name of the service.
The opposition in a statement by its 1st National Spokesperson, Ikenga Ugochinyere demanded that the DSS arrest Daura and charge him for extortion and impersonation.
The opposition also called for the sack of all DSS directors who have been taking instructions from the “disgraced former DG from his private home.”

According to the statement, the dealings is aimed at ensuring that the current DG DSS “is sacked for refusing to embark on mass arrest of opposition leaders and sharing of money meant for DSS operations.”
The statement added, “We are also aware that the former DG has collected over N5b in bribes from desperate politicians. He has used the money to compromise some insider staffs to run parallel DSS operation outfit.
“The opposition is therefore demanding that the DSS arrest Lawal Daura and charge him for extortion and impersonation.” The statement read
