The Nigerian Police have arrested four suspected Boko Haram members in Edo State, South-South Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a statement on Saturday by the spokesman, Edo State Police, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, who said the suspects were nabbed by the the tactical teams of the command.
Nwabuzor described the suspects as notorious gang members of kidnapping and armed robbery syndicates that are terrorising Kogi and Edo states axis.
The statement titled, ‘Arrest of suspected Boko Haram members/armed robbers/kidnappers/cultists and recovery of arms and ammunition,’ was released to journalists in Benin on Saturday.
It said a coordinated intelligence collaboration between operatives of the Department of State Services and the police, led to the arrest of the suspects.
