The Department of State Services (DSS) on the Thursday night released the convener of the Revolution Now protest, Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore was released after a Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday morning gave the DSS 24-hours to release him from detention.
Sowore first met his bail on November 6, one month ago, but he was not released.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, said the DSS had no justifiable reason to continue to hold Sowore in custody, after she signed the warrants for the release of the defendants from custody.
Sowore’s lawyer, Femi Falana, confirmed that the DSS also paid N100,000 fine to Sowore as ordered by the judge.
