Nigerian Troops Ambush Terrorists, Kill Nine in Mainok-Jakana Area

The troops of Sector 1, Operation Lafiya Dole have successfully staged an ambush at identified Boko Haram terrorists crossing point at Mainok-Jakana axis in kaga local government area of Borno State, killing nine of them

The Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Col. Sagir Musa, who disclosed this on Wednesday night via PRNigeria, said the attacks happened at about 6.30pm on May 13, 2020.

“So far, 9 Boko Haram Terrorists lost their lives, two gun trucks mounted with anti aircraft guns have been captured and exploitation is ongoing by the troops,” Musa said.

He also confirmed that two soldiers are slightly wounded in the ensuing gunfight.

The Army Spokesperson also assured that the situation in the area has been normalized.
