Peace Ambassador calls for strategic partnership between oil companies and host communities

A peace Ambassador, Mr. Michael Uba, has called for a strategic and symbiotic relationship between the oil companies in Nigeria and their host communities.

Uba stated this while receiving the Papyrus Award at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, for continuously striving hard to achieve Peace in his Local Government and the Niger Delta Region, as a whole.

The Papyrus Magazine had awarded outstanding leaders, who had impacted Nigerians with different leadership ideas in their various Local Governments.

The special recognition award which featured more of selfless and humanitarian works, were also given to former Governor of Imo State Sen Rochas Okorocha, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief Pauline Tallen, the former DG of NAPTIP, Chief Julie Orkah-Donli, to mention a few, for the humanitarian roles they have played in their communities

The Peace Ambassador who has continuously engaged social political groups in the Niger Delta region, including the Urhobo Progress Union, advocated for more ways to achieve mutual benefits for host communities and oil companies.

Uba also said he will continue to participate in organizing Civil Society summits and award ceremonies to honour and recognize the strives of activists from various Non Governmental Organizations in the Niger Delta Region.
