A political support group, Tinubu/Dikko Assured 2027, has distributed 95 bags of rice and N11 million to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The donation was made by the Director General and Founder of the group, Umar Zayyad, who was represented by the Katsina State Coordinator, Khalil Aminu, alongside members of the state steering committee.
The intervention targeted different layers of the APC structure in Katsina Local Government Area, including ward, local government and state executives.
According to the organisers, the 12 wards in Katsina Local Government each received five bags of rice and N500,000 to support party activities and welfare of members.
The executives of Katsina Local Government were also given 15 bags of rice and N2 million as part of the distribution coordinated by the group.
In addition, the APC state executive committee received 20 bags of rice and N3 million to strengthen party mobilisation across the state.
Media Secretary at Danja Local Government, Nuradeen Shehu, who spoke on behalf of the group, said the initiative was designed to support party members and encourage unity within the APC.
He said the gesture also coincided with the Ramadan season, offering support to members during the period of fasting and reflection.
Shehu prayed for the success of the initiative and expressed hope that God would accept their prayers during the holy month.
“The support is part of our contribution to party members, and we pray that Almighty God answers our Ramadan prayers,” he said.
The group had earlier carried out an empowerment programme across the three senatorial districts of Katsina State, where beneficiaries received tools, materials and cash support of N30,000 each to boost small-scale economic activities.
