Transcorp Hilton Abuja has officially ushered in the 2025 Christmas season with its signature Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, marking the beginning of weeks of festive celebrations at the iconic hotel.

According to a statement from the hotel’s Communications and Marketing Manager, Ms Ijeoma Osuji, the ceremonial event, held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, was characterised by warmth, elegance, and a strong sense of community. The evening brought together hotel guests, families, members of the diplomatic corps, corporate clients, and Abuja’s vibrant lifestyle and media community.

Guests were welcomed into the beautifully decorated fountain area, setting the tone for the evening. The ceremony opened with remarks from Martin Zarybnicky, General Manager of Transcorp Hilton Abuja, who expressed gratitude to the hotel’s partners, guests, and the Abuja community for their continued support.

“This season is one we truly cherish, as it allows us to reconnect with our community and create shared moments of joy,” Zarybnicky said. “We are thrilled to welcome both residents and international travellers to celebrate with us.”

The festive atmosphere was further heightened by a stirring musical journey through timeless Christmas classics performed by the Abuja Metropolitan Music Society (AMEMUSO) Choir, whose rich harmonies captivated guests. The evening also featured a heart-warming collaborative performance with Slum2Stage, adding a unique and uplifting dimension to the celebration.

The highlight of the night was the lighting of the towering Christmas tree, officiated by Uzo Oshogwe, MD/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, alongside Martin Zarybnicky, Mrs. Dayo Benjamins-Laniyi, Mandate Secretary, FCTA Women Affairs Secretariat, and a group of excited children. And the symbolic moment represented hope, unity, and the shared joy of the festive season.
