Friends and family members gathered in Abuja on Sunday, August 23, 2026, to celebrate the 60th birthday of Jaye Gaskia, describing him as a man known for truthfulness, consistency and a calm approach to life.
The birthday celebration brought together relatives, friends and associates who paid tribute to Gaskia while reflecting on the qualities they said had distinguished him over the years.
The event featured a grand entrance by the celebrant, followed by tributes from guests, including Temi Gold, who joined others in celebrating Gaskia’s milestone.
The celebration was hosted by Emmanuel Anyebe, popularly known as MC Oluwa Pikin, who coordinated the activities and kept guests entertained throughout the event.
Friends and family who spoke during the celebration repeatedly highlighted Gaskia’s commitment to truth, consistency and his easy-going personality, describing the qualities as defining aspects of his character.
Entertainment formed a major part of the celebration, with guests participating in games and dancing, while comedian Stainless Precious delivered a comedy performance that further enlivened the occasion.
One of the major highlights came when Gaskia and his wife jointly cut the birthday cake, after which his brother, Tayo Ajaiye Oba, led a toast in honour of the celebrant at 60 years.
Guests later took photographs with Gaskia and members of his family before the celebration ended with prayers, bringing the gathering to a close.
The celebration ultimately served as more than a birthday party, as friends and family used the occasion to honour Gaskia’s six decades of life and celebrate the values of truth, consistency and simplicity they said continue to define him.
