The Renewed Hope Women’s Network (RHWN) has unveiled a nationwide strategy to deepen voter education and expand women’s participation in Nigeria’s democratic process across all 36 states.

The initiative, presented on Saturday in Abuja, is designed to support inclusive governance and strengthen grassroots political mobilisation ahead of future elections.

Convener of the network, Joyce Viyanto Antonza Ibrahim, said the programme aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She explained that the project focuses on empowering women at the community level to drive civic engagement and democratic participation.

“This initiative mobilizes women, strengthens political participation, and supports the effective delivery of the Renewed Hope Agenda across communities,” she said.

According to Ibrahim, the network will operate nationwide, positioning women as mobilisers at ward and polling unit levels.

She noted that participants are expected to serve as “trusted voices and change agents” within their communities.

The convener added that the initiative integrates voter education with socio-economic development to improve participation outcomes.

Ibrahim said her diaspora experience influenced the design of the programme, aimed at bridging global exposure with grassroots political action.

She commended the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for promoting women’s empowerment, and Abike Dabiri-Erewa for strengthening diaspora engagement.

She also acknowledged the contributions of Tunde Doherty and other local stakeholders in advancing people-focused governance.

The RHWN programme is expected to create a coordinated framework linking voter mobilisation, civic education, and inclusive participation to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic development.
