In Lagos on Sunday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader, Iyabosola Eletu, said the ongoing reforms under Bola Ahmed Tinubu are necessary to secure Nigeria’s future, describing his “Renewed Hope” agenda as a pathway to national development.
Eletu made the remarks in a statement marking the President’s 74th birthday, celebrated nationwide, where she commended his leadership and policy direction.
She described Tinubu as “a true icon of democracy and a master strategist,” noting that his political journey reflects resilience and commitment to national progress.
According to her, the anniversary offers Nigerians an opportunity to assess the administration’s economic reforms and governance priorities.
Eletu said the President’s development record in Lagos State remains a model for national growth and institutional reform.
“Your legacy of transforming Lagos into a global megacity remains the blueprint for the strides we now see across the Federation,” she stated.
She also praised the administration’s governance approach, highlighting the inclusion of women in leadership and decision-making processes.
Eletu stressed that women remain critical to nation-building, noting that government policies increasingly recognise their role in development.
While acknowledging public concerns, she said current economic reforms may be difficult but are essential for long-term stability and prosperity.
She concluded with prayers for the President, asking for wisdom and strength, and expressing hope that “the seeds of progress you are sowing today will yield a bountiful harvest for all Nigerians.”
