The Zamfara State House of Assembly has impeached the deputy governor of the state, Mahdi Aliyu Gusau.
Mr Gusau was removed from office by the lawmakers during plenary on Wednesday.
The lawmakers immediately voted after the submission of a panel report set up by the chief judge of the state, Kulu Aliyu, to investigate alleged impeachable offences against the deputy governor.
20 out of 21 members voted in favour of the removal of Mr Gusau.
