A new chapter opened for the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA) Secondary School, Asokoro, Abuja, as the institution celebrated the graduation of its pioneer students, a milestone that signals the school’s growing contribution to quality education and leadership development.
The maiden graduation ceremony attracted senior officers of the Nigerian Air Force, members of NAFOWA, parents and other dignitaries, who gathered to celebrate the first set of students to complete their secondary education since the school’s establishment.
Speaking at the event, President of NAFOWA, Mrs. Ngozi Aneke, described the graduation as the fulfilment of a long-held vision to provide affordable, value-driven education that equips young Nigerians with the knowledge, discipline and character needed to succeed.
She said the success of the pioneer class reflects the school’s commitment to raising future leaders grounded in integrity, excellence and service, while commending the former National President of NAFOWA, Mrs. Elizabeth Amao, for laying the foundation that made the institution a reality.
Addressing the graduating students, Mrs. Aneke urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of their families, the school, NAFOWA and the Nigerian Air Force, reminding them that the values they have acquired would define their future more than their academic achievements.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of certificates and awards to outstanding students in recognition of academic excellence, leadership and exemplary conduct.
In her remarks, the Commandant of the school, Flight Lieutenant Ngozi Ogbo, thanked NAFOWA, parents, teachers and other stakeholders for their unwavering support, noting that the graduation of the pioneer class represents the beginning of a lasting legacy for the institution.
She reaffirmed the school’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards while nurturing disciplined, responsible and morally upright students capable of making meaningful contributions to society.
