The federal government has said it will propose 18 months extension to the national assembly for the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA)- an action that will consequently allow room for continuous payment of petrol subsidy.
The PIA which made provision for deregulation of the oil and gas industry, which was to kickstart this February, but was suspended by the federal government.
Timipre Sylva, minister of state, petroleum resources, disclosed this while addressing state house correspondents on Tuesday in Abuja
