President Bola Tinubu has declared that Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms are beginning to yield results, saying the country has moved past difficult conditions and is now on a path of renewed growth and stability.

In his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir message, the President said the administration remains committed to tackling insecurity, including terrorism and banditry, while strengthening national peace and stability.

Tinubu said the reform agenda, though demanding, was necessary to reposition the economy for long-term prosperity, investment attraction and job creation across sectors.

He stated that sacrifices made by Nigerians over the past three years have contributed to improved economic stability and renewed investor confidence.

“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” Tinubu said, expressing optimism that reforms would continue to deliver positive outcomes.

He also assured Nigerians that security challenges persist in some regions but noted that security agencies have recorded gains, including the neutralisation of a wanted Islamic State leader.

“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” the President said, urging prayers for peace, unity and leadership wisdom.

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu called on Nigerians to embrace sacrifice, compassion and peaceful coexistence, describing Eid-el-Kabir as a period for reflection on faith, obedience and selflessness.

She urged citizens to support vulnerable groups and strengthen national unity, stressing that harmony and mutual respect are essential for national development.

APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and Senator Orji Kalu also urged Nigerians to remain patient with the reforms, insisting they are aimed at economic recovery, national stability and a better future.
