The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered Tight Security in the Federal Capital Territory following the recent threats from terrorists.
The IGP has ordered for additional deployment of assets to strategic areas of the FCT while the Force of Intelligence Bureau has been charged with robust Intelligence gathering and information sharing amongst other agencies.
However, the IGP urged all residents of the FCT to synergise and be on the same page with the Police and other security agencies to forestall any ugly incidences in and around the FCT.
The measure came barely 24hours after the ambush of troops attached to the Presidential Guards Brigade.
