Chairman of the Grassroots Development Party of Nigeria (GDPN), Ambassador Odion Okpebholo has called on the political parties and the stakeholders of the country to work toward actualising the role in nation-building.

Okpebholo made this call in Abuja, during his meeting with stakeholders

He said the meeting was aimed at building a formidable government that would bring development to the nation from the grassroots.

He said: “The movement will enable its members to actualise the dreams, which is to play its role in making Nigeria home for the upcoming generation.

“It is, therefore, incumbent on us to bring to bear on the country, our vision for a society with which everyone’s confidence is sustained with fulfillment”, he said.

Okpebholo who is also championing a movement, called ‘Mobilise all Nigerians for Good Governance’, further, stated that the movement is a group joined together by patriotism and voluntary desire, adding that it shall establish and consolidate its position to be a leading political force in the country.

He said the movement hopes to be a constructive organisation in which “participatory democracy shall be maintained.

“We do not just come out to play games with the destiny of our country, but to chart a course for meaningful development most particularly at the grassroots where the strength of our nation lies”, he stressed.

He also said at the meeting that the group, which was formed based on self-reliance, is different from other movements in the country.

He said: “When voted credible leaders in the for coming 2023 general election, the interest of Nigerian masses would be prioritised, to build and develop the country from the grassroots to the top.”

Ambassador Okpebholo urged all the political parties and the stakeholders to cooperate with the great movement (MAN2023),  that will turn Nigeria around for good.
