Segun Ogunwuyi, Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, has resigned from his position with effect from October 12, 2026.
Ogunwuyi conveyed his decision in a resignation letter dated Monday, thanking the governor for the opportunity to serve the state and its people.
He described his time in the administration as an honour and expressed pride in his contributions to the government’s efforts to promote the development of Oyo State.
His resignation comes amid the departure of several aides from Makinde’s administration this year.

Ogunwuyi also served in the Oyo State House of Assembly before his election to the House of Representatives in 2015, where he represented Ogbomoso North/South and Oriire Federal Constituency.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
