Former House of Representatives member, Farah Dagogo, has described the Supreme Court judgment affirming David Mark’s leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a boost for Nigeria’s judiciary and democracy.
Dagogo said the ruling has restored confidence in the legal system and reflected the growing public demand for political and economic reforms in the country.
He stated that the judgment has further strengthened the ADC’s position as a major opposition platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the ruling has also triggered renewed public interest and support for the party across different parts of the country.
Dagogo noted that the ADC now carries the expectations of Nigerians seeking solutions to economic hardship, insecurity and governance challenges.
He urged party leaders and members to avoid internal divisions and focus on building a united political structure before the next election cycle.
“It is now essential for the ADC to prioritise unity and collaboration,” Dagogo said while calling for collective efforts within the party.
He added that the opposition party must assemble credible leaders capable of addressing Nigeria’s pressing national issues.
The former lawmaker also commended Nigerians for their support during the legal battle, describing the verdict as both a judicial victory and a call for responsibility.
“The judgment represents a victory for the will of the people,” he said, urging aspirants within the party to place national interest above personal ambition.
